Day 2 – Sete Cidades & Pineapple Plantation
Our first adventure takes us west to one of the island’s most iconic sights: Sete Cidades, the twin crater lakes ringed by volcanic peaks. Day 4 – Lagoa do Fogo & Vila Franca do Campo
Today we’ll explore the stunning Lagoa do Fogo (“Lake of Fire”), a striking crater lake set high in the mountains. On the way, we’ll stop in Vila Franca do Campo to enjoy a traditional pastry—queijada da Vila—a sweet specialty of the town. It’s a perfect balance of natural beauty and authentic local flavor.
Day 5 – Free Day in Ponta Delgada
The day is yours to explore at your own pace. Wander the cobblestone streets of Ponta Delgada, visit local markets, sip espresso at a café, or simply relax seaside. If you wish, we can recommend optional excursions for added adventure.
Day 6 – Into Furnas & Terra Nostra Gardens
We head east into the lush volcanic valley of Furnas, famous for its steaming vents, botanical beauty, and geothermal cuisine. After exploring the valley, we’ll check into the iconic Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, where hotel guests enjoy exclusive after-hours access to the legendary hot spring pool.
